Less than 15% of oil and gas production occurs on federal lands.

Average gasoline prices in Charlotte have risen more than 16 cents per gallon over the past week and now average $4.03 per gallon, according to GasBuddy’s survey of 665 stations across the city.

Prices in Charlotte are just over 12 cents per gallon higher than they were a month ago and $1.12 per gallon higher than this time last year.
