Growth in Waxhaw and Union County According to a recent census study, Waxhaw is the fastest growing municipality in the fastest growing county in our region, by far. Major growth will continue to come to Waxhaw and their young Mayor, Daune Gardner, wants to be ready for it. She is moving fast to create a historic district there and to work with Union county officials to make sure that growth is managed and smart.
