The event will highlight the stories and achievements of these remarkable individuals who have devoted themselves to fostering inclusivity, dismantling systemic barriers and promoting equity and equality in our region.
The evening will feature engaging speakers, captivating performances and an awards ceremony that recognizes the honorees.

Enjoy live music in the great outdoors! Food and beverages will be available for purchase from the Gateway Canteen’s food truck. Bring lawn chairs and blankets to enjoy the music. Coolers permitted but subject to checking. No glass, tents or outside alcohol is allowed. Bags and coolers will be checked. Well-behaved dogs on leash are welcome to attend; please remember to Leave No Trace.

Horse Shows at the Anne Springs Close Greenway provide entertainment and enrichment for equestrian students and the community!
Held in both the spring and fall, the Greenway's horse shows provide an opportunity for the local equestrian community to showcase their talent and skills. The class list includes more than 30 categories for competition.
Spectators are welcome to watch all or part of our horse shows. The events run from 9am to 5pm, and no advanced registration is required. Please consider bringing your own seating. Parking will cost $5 per car.

11 a.m. – 1 p.m.Corn Husk Doll Make and Take Demonstrations by Center Assistant Curator and Catawba artist Sharon Simmers-Norton (located in the Center's galleries).
11 a.m. – 1 p.m.Traditional Art Demonstrations by Catawba potter and pine needle basket maker Beckee Garris (located in the Center's galleries).
This family friendly festival, which is expected to draw in thousands of visitors from throughout the region, will showcase a variety of local and regional contemporary folk artists - whose work will be for sale - as well a artist demos, hands-on art activities for kids, live music, food from area restaurants and food truck vendors, a beer garden, and more!

Celebrate Mom with a visit to the Raptor Trail! In honor of Mother's Day, all mothers will receive FREE admission on Sunday, May 12. Make lasting memories by walking our 3/4 mile trail, meeting our more than 30 avian ambassadors, and catching a special educational program at 11 AM, 1 PM, or 2:30 PM.
We extend a heartfelt invitation to all individuals who identify as mothers, regardless of gender identity, biological or non-biological connection to children, or any other characteristic. We celebrate and honor the diverse ways in which people mother, and warmly welcome all to enjoy complimentary admission on Mother's Day.
