How do we write our own stories that reject what society writes onto us? "It Be Like That Sometimes" combines theater, installation art, and music to pose that question while celebrating the ways we can maintain our mental health by honoring our own truth and experiences.
Step into the story and meet the Reynolds family, who has overcome the labels, financial woes, and disappointments to create joy, authenticity, and most importantly, self-love.
“It Be Like That Sometimes” looks at how the outside world's stories creep into our domestic space and the most sacred space of all, our minds. During this 55-minute show, you’ll walk through an Enderly Park home with just nine other audience members. Don’t miss this intimate, immersive theatrical experience.
From Mixed Metaphors Productions, the award-winning artist collective that brought you “Kudzu: A Story of Belonging,” “SwimCap” and “FixaPlate.” Co-sponsored with QC Family Tree.
