A woman was shot and killed early this morning at a party in a business park in north Charlotte. She’s been identified as 27-year-old Ebony Tamia Harrison. Police have charged 23-year-old Corey Lamar Vega with her murder.
Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police say a call for service came into 911 at 1:08am Sunday morning about someone communicating threats. Officers were nearby the 5100 block of Reagan Drive near I-85 and Sugar Creek Road, when they heard shots being fired and responded immediately. Harrison was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to CMPD, Vega was detained on the scene and interviewed by homicide detectives. He has been charged with murder and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
