Scheduled for May 11-15, the 14-year-old Reel Out Charlotte festival is screening 10 feature-length films, all making their premiere showings in North Carolina. Fifteen short films launch the festival on opening night, and all events take place in Camp North End.

The 77,000 Charlotte residents whose primary language is not English have struggled to get basic information about staying safe during the COVID-19 pandemic. North Carolina's largest city is now trying to improve communication with those residents.
