Donald Trump, shown here in this 2016 file photo, will hold a campaign rally in Charlotte on March 2.

President Donald Trump will return to Charlotte for a campaign rally one day before the "Super Tuesday" primary election, his campaign announced Friday.

Trump will appear at Bojangles' Coliseum on March 2 at 7 p.m.

The doors are scheduled to open at 3 p.m. More information on attending the appearance can be found here.

The president also held rallies a few days before the presidential caucus in Iowa and the evening before the primary in New Hampshire.

Trump won North Carolina by almost 4 percentage points in the 2016 general election. The state is expected to be a presidential battleground this November, too.

Trump appeared in Charlotte just a week ago for the "Opportunity Now" forum, where he spoke about his Opportunity Zones policy -- and fit in a few comments about his impeachment acquittal.
