Charlotte's still-unnamed Major League Soccer team is developing its season-ticket strategy and it could include personal seat licenses, or PSLs. That's one of the options mentioned in a survey sent this week to thousands of fans who put down ticket deposits.

The survey also includes renderings of a new "Tunnel Club" entryway and lounge for fans who buy some pricier seats at Bank of America Stadium, where the team is scheduled to play beginning in 2021.

The MLS team, owned by Carolina Panthers owner David Tepper, said in January it has received reservations for 22,000 seats.

The online survey asks fans their preference among eight potential scenarios for season-ticket options, from goal-end seats to luxury "club" seating, including a West End Zone "Gridiron Club" section and field-level seating for "Tunnel Club" members.

Most seats, but not all, would require a PSL that could cost between $300 and nearly $4,000.

Fans would then have to pay extra for a season ticket for each seat - which could cost from $400 to $5,950, according to the scenarios in the survey.

The team showed several possible kinds of season tickets:

  • General seating in the stadium's lower and 200 levels.
  • A dedicated "supporters section" behind the goal, probably standing room only.
  • Premium seats with access to climate-controlled lounges, food and private parking and entrances.
  • A new "Tunnel Club" in the northwest corner of the stadium with views of the players as they enter and exit, available to those who buy field-level seats.

Those who put down deposits are asked to complete the survey by March 9. The team warns that all the options and prices are still preliminary.
Meanwhile, the team still doesn't have a name. A spokesman for Tepper did not respond to questions about when that might be announced.
