A recent proposal before Charlotte City Council would have prohibited what some perceive as discriminatory practices against LGBT people. Right now, cab drivers, business owners and others can refuse service based on religious or moral grounds to those in the LGBT community. That measure was narrowly defeated but the conversation continues and we hear from people on both sides.
