Charlotte's First 'Mini Maker Faire' / The Blumenthal's Breakin' Convention

The Mini Maker Faire will show off how broken things can be made useful again. We hear about that and about the Breakin’ Convention – Charlotte’s foray into the international world of hip-hop dance.

Part One

The “maker movement” started about 10 years ago and is the ultimate in the recycling of discarded or broken electronic equipment. But it’s more than that.  It’s a trend that repurposes these random pieces into something new and useful. We hear about Charlotte’s first “Mini-Maker Faire” in the first part of the program.

Mike Collins talks with the folks behind the Mini Maker Fair about the Maker Movement.
