Wednesday, May 1, 2019

The latest on Tuesday's deadly shooting on UNC Charlotte's campus. We hear from local reporters, students, Chancellor Phil Dubois and others.

Yesterday, on the final day of class for the spring semester, it happened. A lone gunmanwalked into a classroom at UNC Charlotteand began shooting. One student tweeted that the shooter didn’t say anything, he just started firing.

In that instant, Charlotte joined other cities that have experienced this kind of senseless tragedy. Two peoplelost their lives, four were wounded, three critically. University police and CMPD apprehended the alleged shooter and arrested him but again, lives have been irrevocably changed by a man with a gun.

We bring you up to date on what we know.
