The American dream has always been difficult to realize. For many, it’s become almost impossible. What’s worse is that a handful of the ultrawealthy are gaming the system, and one of those individuals happens to be the president of the United States.

Aaron Glantz, a prizewinning investigative journalist and author, says Donald Trump and his inner circle have exacerbated America’s housing crisis by profiting off the working class, often while using taxpayer money. He writes about it in his new book "Homewreckers: How a Gang of Wall Street Kingpins, Hedge Fund Magnates, Crooked Banks, and Vulture Capitalists Suckered Millions Out of Their Homes and Demolished the American Dream."

Who are the winners from the Great Recession? How are they tied to the White House?

Tune in on the next "Charlotte Talks" as guest host Erik Spanberg from the Charlotte Business Journal is joined by Aaron Glantz to analyze America’s housing crisis and the institutional power structures at play.

Guest:

Aaron Glantz, author of "Homewreckers: How a Gang of Wall Street Kingpins, Hedge Fund Magnates, Crooked Banks, and Vulture Capitalists Suckered Millions Out of Their Homes and Demolished the American Dream."
