This hour on "Charlotte Talks" we delve deep into the family leave policies here in Charlotte, statewide in North Carolina and nationwide.
In other countries, paid parental leave is a given, but here in America, most people are not guaranteed paid family leave.
There have been trends here and there moving towards more paid family leave in America. Some members of Congress have introduced legislation, and some presidential candidates have addressed their plans for improved family leave, but no widespread national policies have been adopted.
We’ll talk about the status of parental leave policy in Charlotte and beyond, and its importance as a health issue and as an economic issue, when "Charlotte Talks."
