North Carolina Senate Republicans have a press conference this evening to unveil their annual budget. Last week, Governor Josh Stein said he plans to ask the General Assembly for more money to rebuild in western North Carolina after Hurricane Helene.
The Federal Emergency Management Agency says it will end its 100 percent match for disaster recovery in the state. The press conference is at 5pm at the Legislative Building in Raleigh.
