The city of Monroe has lifted its mandatory water restrictions after recent rainfall helped replenish local reservoirs.
The restrictions ended Sunday.
City officials are still encouraging residents to conserve water, particularly when watering lawns and landscaping outdoors.
The easing of restrictions comes after improved reservoir levels reduced pressure on the local water supply.
