The Charlotte Mecklenburg Library has named Angie Myers its new permanent chief executive officer.
Myers officially takes over as CEO on Monday after serving as interim CEO since May of last year.
Myers joined the library system in 2013 as finance director. In that role, she helped oversee construction of the new Main Library and the library’s three-year strategic plan.
As CEO, Myers will lead the library’s 21 branches.
