2023 Common Heart Hunger Walk

2023 Common Heart Hunger Walk
The Common Heart Hunger Walk is an opportunity to come together to raise awareness about hunger in our community and raise funds to support Common Heart's food pantry programs.
On Sunday, March 5, 2023, join usat Crooked Creek Park in Indian Trail @ 2:00pm. Can't make it to Indian Trail? Join us at the Marshville Municipal Park @ 3:00pm. Together, we will walk in support of ending local hunger and poverty in Union County!
In Union County, it's estimated over 26,500 adults and children are hungry or facing the threat of hunger. That’s 10.7% of the residents of our county. 1 in 5 children in Union County live in homes facing food insecurity.
Common Heart's food pantries are a lifeline for our hungry neighbors. Each month, over 5,500 individuals are served through 11 pantry programs.
So why do we walk?
We walk to raise awareness about our neighbors experiencing food insecurity.
We walk to raise funds to provide food, to meet an immediate need.
We walk to be a part of a small revolution of kindness.
