The Odyssey: A Comedy, Mostly” is an adaptation of Homer’s The Odyssey. It follows the well-known story of Odysseus’s journey from the battlefields of Troy back home to Ithaca and features familiar characters such as Odysseus, Athena, Poseidon, Circe, Penelope, and the Cyclops. The play was written with casual and modern language and a comedic tone, but it involves some dramatic moments and routinely breaks the fourth wall. About 90 minutes.

This thought-provoking drama is ideal for college students, adults, and anyone facing the challenges of finding the truth in 2026. Directed by Amy Wada and featuring Dionte Darko and Luna Mackie.

Directed by Frannie Williams, the play explores the ethics of journalism and the fine line between fact and interpretation as it follows a young Harvard-educated fact checker who clashes with a celebrated writer over an essay that could save a struggling New York magazine. As their battle over details intensifies, the debate becomes both hilarious and thought-provoking, a dynamic that feels especially relevant in today’s social media-driven culture. Evening performances begin at 7:30 pm, with Sunday matinees at 2:00 pm. Recommended ages 15 and up.
