CMPD is investigating two fatal shootings in west Charlotte since Thursday night.

The first happened just before 9:30 p.m. on South Gardner Avenue, off Rozelles Ferry Road. Officers arrived to find a man dead of a gunshot wound. Police have not identified the man or released any details about what led to the shooting. CMPD also did not say if investigators have a suspect.

The second shooting happened shortly before 2:45 a.m. Friday just a couple of blocks away in the 2500 block of Rozzelles Ferry Road. Officers responded to a report of a shooting and found a man with gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead on the scene.

Detectives say that shooting appears to have been related to a domestic dispute, and they are not seeking any suspects. The man was not identified.
