A Few Charlotte School Of Law Students Allowed To Graduate This Month
Charlotte School of Law has closed, but it appears eight students will still graduate this month. That has the blessing of its state licensor, the UNC Board of Governors.
In a letter to the for-profit school, a UNC administrator wrote "it's my understanding that eight students completed graduation requirements" prior to August 11th. That's the day the school's license expired. She says she understands another twenty students will receive credit for their summer coursework. The school is also permitted to provide career counseling and assist students with transfers. Charlotte School of Law's federal loans were yanked late last year partly for accepting too many unqualified students and its low bar passage rates.
