The latest U.S. News rankings of colleges show UNC Charlotte has made some big gains, jumping nine spots in the overall rankings to 143, and seven spots to 74 on the rankings for top public universities.
Earlier this year, UNC Charlotte earned a designation for its investment into research and announced a new AI degree.
On Monday, the school announced a new investment from Honeywell into its STEM facilities.
