A person has tested positive for tuberculosis at Alexander Graham Middle School in south Charlotte, according to health officials.
Officials said the overall risk to the public is low.
People identified as having close contact with the infected person are being notified and offered free testing.
Health officials did not release additional information about the individual who tested positive.
