Concord police say it appears as if a man shot and killed his estranged wife, wounded another man, and then killed himself Sunday evening at a house in the southwest side of the city. Killed in the incident were Isidra Ramos Sarabio, 30, and her estranged husband, Eladio Hernandez-Pelaez, 54. Wounded was Fredy Guzman, 33. Police say Guzman lived at the same house as Isidra Sarabio, along with other friends and family members. Investigators say Hernandez-Pelaez apparently arrived at the house, in the 300 block of Broad Drive SW, uninvited about 7:15 p.m. Police say Hernandez-Pelaez confronted several people at the house and started shooting. A Concord police officer on patrol reported hearing the shots and responded to the scene. She found Guzman walking in the street, suffering from a wound to his abdomen. The officer then went to the residence and found the two deceased people in the back yard of the house. Guzman was taken to CMC-NorthEast Hospital in Concord, and police say it appears as if he will recover. Copyright 2012 The Charlotte Observer. All rights reserved.
