Police have arrested two 15-year-old boys they say were involved in the June 18robbery and murder of Zachary Finch.  Finch was killed at an apartment building in west Charlotte during what CMPD says was a transaction involving the thrifting app, “Let Go.”

Both teenagers were arrested on Thursday. Police charged one with murder on Friday around noon. The second was charged with both murder and armed robbery late Friday evening. Neither of the teens names are being released due to their age.

CMPD Captain Chris Dozier addressed the case during a press conference Friday afternoon.

“Obviously the motive here seemed to be robbery but to have this happen and have such a disregard for such a young person to commit this kind of crime is disturbing,” said Captain Dozier.

Police also arrested a man they say sexually assaulted two women in separate incidents. On Wednesday an assault was reported by a young woman walking in Myers Park. The second assault was reported early Friday morning in the Dilworth area. The suspect fled in a car and CMPD was able to match the description of the car to the report. Police conducted a traffic stop and took 21-year-old Larry Bailey into custody.
