CMPD says it’s conducting a homicide investigation after officers found a deceased man with an apparent gunshot wound in a vehicle at the intersection of Fugate Avenue and Monroe Road last night. The department says the vehicle had crashed into a power pole. The man has been identified as 43-year-old Raymond Johnson. It’s the 54th homicide in Charlotte so far this year.
