Where do we stand in the fight against the coronavirus as North Carolina nears the first phase of easing its restrictions?
Gov. Roy Cooper said the first of three phases for relaxing the state’s order would begin Friday.
Still, the governor warned the state “can lose ground quickly” and advised to continue staying at home as much as possible. White House health experts cautioned that the lifting of restrictions could bring a new spike in infections.
