A CMS teacher and her husband were found dead in their Huntersville home Wednesday.

A Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools teacher who recently was accused of having sex with a student was found dead along with her husband at their Huntersville home Wednesday morning, police said.

Huntersville police said they received a call shortly after 8 a.m. from a family member who saw 63-year-old Emma Ogle inside her Hambright Road home with a gun.  Police, medics, firefighters and crisis negotiators all were called to the scene.

When the SWAT team finally entered the home, they found 59-year-old Michael Ogle and Emma Ogle both dead by gunshot wounds.

"We're trying to piece together exactly what happened," Huntersville police officer Odette Saglimbeni said at a press conference. "It's not a very common thing we see here in Huntersville, so when it happens, it's shocking."

Emma Ogle, a teacher at Garinger High, was arrested last week and charged with having sex with a student, according to WSOC.
