Many of us who live in the region take for granted that Charlotte is a banking town and always will be but the constant flow of bad news has grown into a near flood in recent days. Bank of America's stock is near an all-time low, the banking giant recently announced tens of thousands of layoffs, and many large banks have announced additional fees. New Regulations take effect soon and there is uncertainty in the air regarding the strength of Charlotte's long time hold on the banking industry.
