Individuals, families, even corporations can operate more sustainably. What about a whole university – in fact, a university system? Appalachian State has set out to build a sustainable system campus wide and, for the last four years, has hosted a summit for the entire University of North Carolina system to learn about sustainable practices. They just held their fifth gathering, so we sit down with some key players to find out how this might work and what it would mean.
