Newcomers to Charlotte often ask, “where is old Charlotte?” Everything is so new, so bright and shiny, finding bits and pieces of our history can prove challenging. Some may ask, “does anyone care” or “why is this important?” There are many people with ready answers to those questions and who are working hard to preserve the city’s history. We hear from a few of them about the importance of historic preservation and about what’s left to preserve.
