Ryan Crocker served as an American diplomat in the Middle East under several presidents. He joins guest host Erik Spanberg to examine the continued conflict in that region, as well as current international affairs.
This program originally aired Sept. 5
Tension and conflict in the Middle East continue as they have for decades. Ryan Crocker has been a U.S. ambassador to six countries in that part of the world since the 1970's, including Iraq and Afghanistan.
Ambassador Crocker provides an update on that region, including U.S. diplomats sitting down for peace talks with members of the Taliban just last month- without members of the Afghan government.
We'll go over the latest on that situation with Ambassador Crocker, and hear his take on what implications this may have for future relations with Middle Eastern countries.
