NASCAR Hall of Famer Ned Jarrett died Thursday, June 4. He was 93. The Newton, North Carolina, native known as “Gentleman Ned” won two championships and 50 races in his 13-year career. He later became one of the sport’s most recognizable broadcasters. He was inducted into the NASCAR Hall of Fame in 2011. NASCAR CEO Steve O’Donnell called him an outstanding ambassador for the sport who will be dearly missed.
