GE Aerospace said it will invest $53 to support engine production and expand its West Jefferson facility by 35,000 square feet. GE said the expansion will result in 40 new jobs at the site where they will produce narrowbody aircraft engines. The aerospace manufacturers will receive one million dollars in grants from Ashe County, Ashe County Job Development and the Town of Western Jefferson.
