"A Tragedy of the Commons" is an exhibition made up of large-scale text and image linocut, inkjet, and silkscreen prints created by artist Sean Caulfield in collaboration with Susan Colberg (typography) and Steven Hoffman (text). Accompanying these linocuts are a selection of sculptures with printed elements, made from reused/found wood, which speak to the forms and themes within the prints.

Celebrate youth creativity at Charlotte Center for the Arts' inaugural Youth Arts Festival on Friday, March 21st from 1:00-5:00 PM at Stumptown Park in Matthews! This free, family-friendly event features live performances by talented young artists, interactive art-making activities, gallery exhibitions of student artwork and more! Enjoy diverse performances including music, dance, and theater, plus hands-on art stations for all ages led by professional teaching artists. The festival includes food trucks and spaces for both scheduled performances and spontaneous creative expression. The Lake Norman Orchestra proudly presents a free-admission concert featuring music from films and media about space travel including “The Empire Strikes Back Medley,” “Star Trek Through the Years,” “Theme from E.T.: The Extra-Terrestrial,” “Starman,” “Theme from 2001: A Space Odyssey (Also Sprach Zarathustra),” “Mars and Jupiter from The Planets,” “Fly Me to the Moon,” and “The Rosin-Eating Zombies from Outer Space.” This event includes a performance of George Gershwin’s “Rhapsody in Blue" with featured piano soloist, Jon Stafford.
Renée Murphy is the 2025-2027 American Harp Society Concert Artist. She has a beautiful program of harp music to share with us! The concert is free, with donations gladly accepted. The AHS is proud to support Renée's concert in Charlotte.
