Blocks From BofA Stadium, Reaction To Richardson's Fine

Word of the NFL's fine of outgoing Carolina Panthers owner Jerry Richardson was spreading as people were leaving work Thursday in uptown Charlotte. WFAE spoke with about a dozen people. All of them said they thought the $2.75 million fine was appropriate.

You can listen to some of these responses above:

"I'm glad it was to him personally and not the team," said Richard Dukes.

"I think that, especially, the NFL needs to set an example, if it was something that actually happened. We've seen it in the entertainment arena and now we're seeing it in the sports arena. It’s something where folks need to be held accountable for their actions," said Katie Burns.

"He should have been fined about $10 million because that's totally inappropriate. You can't go that far out of bounds," said David Phillips.
