Embassies, Ambassadors and Foreign Service

Last week’s tragic killing of U.S. Ambassador to Libya Chris Stephens and others during an attack on the Embassy there puts a spotlight on the field of foreign service: the reasons ambassadors are placed in other countries, the function of the embassies, the role of diplomats in other countries, and the dangers they are sometimes in when serving the US overseas. A panel will join us to talk about foreign service and talk about the work done around the world by embassies and more.
