The cost for you to park at the Charlotte airport is going up.
The money generated from the increases will be used to help pay for new parking decks that are currently under construction. The cost of the daily parking deck is jumping from $7 to $10 a day February 17. Curbside valet is increasing from $19 to $28. And business valet is going from $10 to $14. The airport’s new hourly parking deck is scheduled to open in November. When it does it will cost you a maximum $20 a day to park there. The maximum rate had been $17 for the old hourly decks that were torn down. The first 30 minutes will be free, but an airport spokeswoman didn’t know how much it would cost per hour. For the next year, long-term parking will remain at $5 a day, but will go up to $7 next February.
