Man Shot To Death Off I-85, City's 85th Homicide of '17

Police are investigating a fatal shooting off I-85 northwest of uptown Thursday, the 85th homicide of 2017 in the Charlotte area.

CMPD said officers responded to a report of shots fired in the 1300 block of Thomasboro Drive around 9:35 p.m. When they arrived, they found 39-year-old Antwain Maurice Price shot to death. His family has been notified.

CMPD says police are looking for witnesses.

Price's death marks the 85th homicide of the year. CMPD says there were 69 in all of 2016.
