Charlotte Area Transit System plans a series of public meetings over the next three weeks on bus route changes that take effect in October.

CATS says it plans to change 20 routes based on feedback from riders. The changes are part of the system's Envision My Ride bus system redesign.

The drop-in meetings begin 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Goodwill Opportunity Campus on Wilkinson Boulevard and 5 p.m. Thursday at Wallace Pruitt Recreation Center on Tuckaseegee Road.  A brief presentation at each meeting will also be streamed live on CATS Facebook page.

Changes are proposed for these bus routes: 1, 2, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 16, 20, 21, 25, 30, 34, 45x, 56, 60, 61x, 62x, and 235.

Changes are also coming for the North Mecklenburg Village Rider Routes 97 and 99. Public meetings for those changes have not been announced.
