CMPD Officer Charged With Falsifying Timesheet

A CMPD officer is charged with obtaining property by false sretenses. CMPD says Officer Todd Beltrone falsified his time sheet at least 19 times since July, receiving about $7,000 for work he didn’t perform.

Deputy Chief Coerte Voorhees called the officer’s actions a stain on the department.

“I can say I’m disappointed today professionally, because we trust our people and we have a culture here that we don't tolerate wrongdoing. If someone takes advantage of it...you know it’s sickening, because it tarnishes our image.”

Beltrone has been placed on unpaid leave. He has been with CMPD since 1999.
