Early voting in Charlotte’s primary election begins Thursday at the Hal Marshall Annex on North College Street, where polls will be open weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. through Aug. 29.
Races on the ballot include the Charlotte mayor’s race, city council seats, and mayoral and town board contests in Mecklenburg County’s six towns.
Additional early voting sites will open Sept. 2, including libraries in University City, SouthPark, West Boulevard, Beatties Ford Road and Rea Road, along with the Marion Diehl Recreation Center and the Steele Creek Masonic Lodge.
From Sept. 2–5, all nine sites will operate weekdays from 8 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., with Saturday voting on Sept. 6 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
County residents may vote at any location during early voting and may also register and vote the same day. A full list of sites is available here.
Primary Day is Tuesday, Sept. 9, when polls will be open from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Voters must cast ballots at their assigned precinct on Election Day.
