Chris Cicoletti is a Managing Director within U.S. Bank’s Credit Fixed Income Group where he leads a team that is responsible for the origination and underwriting of investment grade corporate debt. In this capacity, his industry responsibilities span the insurance, health care, technology, transportation and general industrial service sectors.

Josie Taris left her home in Fayetteville in 2014 to study journalism at Northwestern University. There, she took a class called Journalism of Empathy and found her passion in audio storytelling. She hopes every story she produces challenges the audience's preconceptions of the world. After spending the summer of 2018 working in communications for a Chicago nonprofit, she decided to come home to work for the station she grew up listening to. When she's not working, Josie is likely rooting for the Chicago Cubs or petting every dog she passes on the street.

Michael Falero is a radio reporter, currently covering voting and the 2020 election. He previously covered environment and energy for WFAE. Before joining WFAE in 2019, Michael worked as a producer for a number of local news podcasts based in Charlotte and Boston. He's a graduate of the Transom Story Workshop intensive on Cape Cod and UNC Chapel Hill.

A veteran of Charlotte radio news, Chris joined the "Charlotte Talks" staff in January 2016, but has been listening to WFAE since discovering the station as a high schooler.

Paul Freestone retired in 2018 after 23 years with Stryker Corporation, a Fortune 250 Medical Device Manufacturer. His leadership roles in the United States and Hong Kong focused on Engineering, Operations, and Quality Assurance.

Quincy J. Walters is a junior at USF, majoring in English with a concentration in creative writing. His interest in journalism spurred from the desire to convey compelling narratives. He has written for USF’s student paper, The Oracle and is currently the videographer for Creative Pinellas. If he’s not listening to NPR, he’s probably listening to Randy Newman.

Tori Bedford is an Associate Producer for Boston Public Radio. She holds a B.S. in Journalism from Emerson College, where she worked as a public affairs producer, News Director, and half of the George and Tori Show (the Tori half) weekday mornings on WERS. Mark has been a host, reporter and producer at several NPR member stations in Delaware, Alaska, Washington and Kansas. His reporting has taken him everywhere from remote islands in the Bering Sea to the tops of skyscrapers overlooking Puget Sound. He is a diehard college basketball fan who enjoys taking walks with his dog, Otis.

Kathleen Price is currently the Sustainability Risk Executive for Ally Financial, leading the company’s sustainability strategy to mitigate climate change risk and prepare and adapt Ally for a net-zero economy. She also manages Ally’s Conduct and Reputation risk programs.

Gene Cochrane served as the Interim President & CEO of the Council on Foundations while its Board of Directors conducted a search for a permanent President and CEO. As a past member of the Council’s Board and the retired president of The Duke Endowment, Gene brings a wealth of knowledge about the philanthropic sector to the position and will help continue the Council’s ambitious agenda of philanthropic leadership. Gene’s career with The Duke Endowment spanned 36 years; first, as a Program Officer in their health care section, developing grants for non-profit hospitals and health care. He eventually became the Director of Higher Education where he directed the grant program area that supported Duke University, Davidson College, Furman University, and Johnson C. Smith University. For the last 11 years of his time at the Endowment, he served as President and made a lasting impact on one of the nation’s 30 largest private foundations. Gene currently serves on the UNC University Press Advisory Board, the Charles Cannon Foundation Board, and the Charlotte Mecklenburg Library Foundation Board. He served on the Board of the Council of Foundations from 2012-2018, where he was the chair of the Finance and Investments Committee, and he has been an active leader in numerous county, state, and national organizations and boards, including the Kate B. Reynolds Trust and former board chair of Grantmakers In Health. He was board treasurer of the Southeastern Council of Foundations and a founding board member of the North Carolina Network of Grantmakers. He was also a visiting scholar at The Murdock Trust in Vancouver, Washington, in 2017.
