Hayde Bluegrass Orchestra is a seven-piece acoustic band from Oslo, Norway, that has captured hearts in both Norway and the US with its unique blend of bluegrass and Nordic folk - a style often dubbed "Nordicana." Featuring fiddle, dobro, banjo, mandolin, guitar, and even an accordion alongside four-part harmonies, the group delivers a fresh take on American roots music wrapped in a finely tuned folk sound.

Fronted by Rebekka Nilsson - winner for the 2022 IBMA Momentum "Vocalist of the Year" award - Hayde Bluegrass Orchestra combines original songs, classic tunes, and timeless covers into an energetic and soulful repertoire.

Grammy Award winner Linda Davis joins hit songwriters Lang Scott and Bill Whyte for an intimate evening of acoustic music filled with hits, humor, and down-home charm. Perhaps best known for her duet “Does He Love You” with Reba McEntire, Linda delivers powerful country vocals that transport audiences straight back to the golden era of ‘90s country radio.

Cabarrus County native Jim Avett returns to the Davis Theatre with his band for a warm holiday show filled with storytelling, seasonal songs, and familiar tunes. A longtime favorite at the theatre, Jim brings an inviting evening of front porch wisdom and holiday music that will lift your spirits.

Take a Rock 'n' Roll rollercoaster ride through one of the most explosive and influential musical styles of the 20th Century in PIANOMANIA! - Jared Freiburg's high-energy celebration of the 1950s.

Featuring music made famous by the most prolific piano entertainers from that era (including Little Richard, Ray Charles, and more) as well as many of the artists who influenced them and were influenced BY them (Frank Sinatra, Elvis, Hank Williams, and even Billy Joel), this show has electrified audiences worldwide by showcasing Jared's incredible virtuosity on a cavalcade of rock-and-roll, blues, jazz, and country hits.

Jared's love for this music was cemented performing the role of Jerry Lee Lewis in multiple productions of the Tony Award-winning Broadway megahit MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET, and his pedigree can be summed up most easily by the 'Wild One' himself: "I am humbled and grateful to be honored this way. At the heart of Jâca is an award-winning clarinet and guitar duo whose playful chemistry and curiosity for global music bring extraordinary color and imagination to the stage. From Flamenco to Fado, Appalachia to Argentina, they explore a wide musical landscape with stunning versatility, pushing the limits of what their instruments can do through guitar slides, clarinet smears, and inventive arrangements.

Described as “an exciting new wave of chamber music groups,” their performances have taken them from national television to Carnegie Hall. As Humans of Chamber Music notes, “At a Jâca concert you’re not just a bystander, you feel a part of it.” Jâca performed at the Cabarrus Arts Council two years ago and was a fan favorite. We’re so excited to welcome them back to Students Take Part in the Arts and to the Davis Theatre Stage!

Since its formation decades ago, Lonesome River Band continues its reputation as one of the most respected names in bluegrass music. Five-time International Bluegrass Music Association (IBMA) Banjo Player of the Year, and winner of the Steve Martin Prize for Excellence in Banjo and Bluegrass, Sammy Shelor leads the group that is constantly breaking new ground in acoustic music. With two stellar lead vocalists, Jesse Smathers (guitar) and Adam Miller (mandolin), and the impressive talents of Mike Hartgrove (fiddle) and Kameron Keller (Bass), the band seamlessly comes together performing the trademark sound that fans continues to embrace.

Join The Voice 2022 runner-up Wendy Moten as she celebrates the music of Bill Withers, Dionne Warwick, Stevie Wonder, along with standout songs from her time on The Voice. Wendy is accompanied by the Christian Tamburr Trio, a group that has been through the Davis Theatre with artists Shana Tucker and Jane Monheit in past Seasons. This high-energy contemporary jazz, R&B, and soul performance will have audiences on their feet and singing from the heart.

Featuring the legendary country singer and his co-star in the independent film The Price, James Dupré. The Country Music Hall of Fame member's long-time touring band rejoins "Hoss", as they affectionately call Travis, on the road for the first time since right before his stroke in 2013.

The show will consist of Dupré and the band performing all of his iconic number ones including "On The Other Hand", "Forever and Ever, Amen" and "Three Wooden Crosses".

Randy Travis will make a special appearance, engaging with the audience and taking part in the show.

Please note: While he will not be singing, his presence will make for an unforgettable experience.
