There have been two homicides in west Charlotte since Wednesday afternoon.
The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department says officers responding to a call just before 4 a.m. Thursday found a male victim with a gunshot wound in a 7-Eleven on Brookshire Boulevard near Lawton Road. The victim was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.
His identity has not been released.
The department says Wednesday, just before 5 p.m., officers found 34-year-old Antonio Kirkpatrick shot to death outside a shopping center on West Boulevard near the intersection of Remount.
No arrests have been reported in either shooting.
