What would it take to make Charlotte a destination for music? We look into that with local artists and industry professionals.

Charlotte has a wealth of talented musicians and a vibrant music community. But some local leaders would like to see the city’s music scene grow. They want to make Charlotte a music destination.

But how do you do that? The industry has had its share of obstacles with popular venues like Tremont Music Hall and The Double Door Inn closing. And a recent study found that most Charlotte musicians consider themselves freelancers and only 15 percent make music their full-time job.
