There's a lot of young tobacco and vape users who are angry right now. That’s because the Food and Drug Administration began to immediately enforce a ban on the sale of tobacco to anyone under 21 on Dec. 20, the same day that President Trump signed legislation raising the minimum age of purchase. 

A plan to substantially increase taxes on vaping products in North Carolina initially received bipartisan support at the General Assembly last week before a powerful lobbyist thwarted the plan. Lawmakers from both parties called the behind the scenes effort both unusual and disingenuous.

The Drug Enforcement Agency will allow people to recycle unwanted electronic cigarette and other vaping devices this Saturday. It’s the first time the DEA will accept the devices as part of its Prescription Drug Take-Back Day. The event will take place on Saturday Oct. 26 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m at sites across the country.

RALEIGH — North Carolina's top legal officer says several e-cigarette companies aren't selling their products in the state while his litigation against them is pending.

The mystery of the outbreak of vaping-related lung illnesses is still not solved.

But investigators in Illinois and Wisconsin have found some clues, they announced Friday in a press briefing.

Investigators in these two states conducted detailed interviews with 86 patients — mostly young men — and 66% said they had vaped THC products labeled as Dank Vapes. THC is the psychoactive ingredient in cannabis.
