Police in Charlotte say a 55-year-old man who was reported missing has been found dead and one of his relatives has been charged with murder.

Van Thien Huynh was reported missing Saturday afternoon. On Sunday, officers found his body in a creek hidden by woods near the 1600 block of Sardis Road North. Charlotte-Mecklenburg police say he'd been shot.

On Tuesday, CMPD arrested one of Van Thien Huynh's relatives, 21-year-old Anthony Huynh, and charged him with murder in the case.

It's the 15th homicide reported in Charlotte this year and the fourth since Friday.

Police haven't released any information about the circumstances leading up to the killing.

CMPD is asking anyone with information on the case to call 704-432-8477.
