Police say two people were shot to death and another fatally stabbed over the weekend in Charlotte.

Just before 9 p.m. Friday, someone called 911 to report a shooting at the Fish Hut Arcade in the 4000 block of Wilkinson Boulevard on the city's west side. Durrell Coleon Fuller, 35, was found shot to death inside the business. As of Sunday morning, Charlotte-Mecklenburg police hadn't released any information about what led to the shooting but had charged 49-year-old Akinto Boone with murder in the slaying.

The second fatal shooting happened about 10:40 p.m. Saturday. Police said they found 63-year-old Wilma Jean Petty shot to death after being called to the 300 block of West 28th Street, which is near North Tryon Street in north Charlotte. As of Monday morning, police had not released any details about the circumstances of the shooting or reported any arrests.

At 4 a.m. Sunday, someone called 911 to report an assault in the 6300 block of Montego Drive in northeast Charlotte. According to police, medics found 23-year-old Jaquis Lowery stabbed to death. Chakyra Robinson, 21, has been charged with murder in Lowery's death.

Their deaths are the 66th, 67th and 68th homicides reported in Charlotte this year. There were 107 homicides reported in all of 2019.

The police department is asking anyone with tips on the cases to call 704-432-8477.
