On Sunday, Oct. 1, a little after 10 p.m. PT, a person police identified as Stephen Paddock fired into a crowd of more than 20,000 people at the Route 91 Harvest festival. Authorities say that Paddock targeted the concertgoers from a room on the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino and that he took his own life before police entered the room.
