For a sexual assault survivor, speaking up about abuse can be daunting. Many never come forward. And for those that do, finding a resolution can be a winding and frustrating road.
WFAE’s "She Says" podcast has followed one woman’s story of sexual assault and her long path towards justice. As the podcast concludes, "Charlotte Talks" host Mike Collins delves further into the topic of sexual assault in Charlotte in a special WFAE Public Conversation. We’ll find out how these cases are investigated, discuss what victims go through, and explore whether justice is being served. "She Says" host Sarah Delia, law enforcement officials, and victim’s rights advocates will participate in a panel discussion and public forum.
WFAE’s "She Says" is an investigative podcast series that follows the story of a sexual assault survivor in Mecklenburg County and looks at how our criminal justice system handles sexual assault cases on a local and national level. Learn more about "She Says" at www.WFAE.org/SheSays.
